Rutherford's Boiling Springs Bank Donates To Local Nonprofits

Since the program's beginning, 391 organizations have signed up and over $2.4 million has been donated.

The CAP is an easy way to bring in donations. Nonprofits with an address in Bergen, Passaic, Morris, Essex or Hudson counties are eligible. When an organization joins, it receives quarterly donations based on the number of its supporters who bank with Boiling Springs -- once it's reached 20 supporters -- based on average daily balances or new loans.

Supporters designate which accounts as they want to be counted for this, and there are no fees for the supporters or nonprofits. All the donation dollars come directly from the bank.

This past quarter, five new organizations received donations: the Kiwanis Club of Glen Ridge Foundation, the Ryan Scholarship Fund, the Ridgewood Rotary Club Foundation, the Montville Township First Aid Squad and the Friends of the Mahwah Library.
