Rutherford's New Coffee Shop Roasts Beans Daily

RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Ara Coffee is all the hype in Rutherford lately. At least, that's what local barber Vito Quattrocchi is saying.

"Everyone was telling me about [Ara]," said Quattrocchi, of Vito's Barber Shop in Carlstadt. "They said the coffee was amazing."

After trying a cup once last month, Quattrocchi came back to the Ames Avenue store for more on Monday.

The shop was opened in Fall 2016 by owner Derek Choi, a South Korean immigrant. He roasts his beans first thing every day, right in the front of his store.

Beans are imported from Ethiopia, Guatemala, Colombia and Brasil. Ara Coffee offers all types of espressos, macchiatos, a variety of lattes, teas, hot chocolate and more.

Ara Coffee is located at 6 Ames Ave., Rutherford.
