Ensure Safer Driving At Aarp-sponsored Rutherford Event

RUTHERFORD, N.J.– How well do you fit in your car? A program in Rutherford on Tuesday will help older adults find out.

CarFit is an educational program created by the American Society on Aging and developed in collaboration with AARP, AAA (American Automobile Association) and the American Occupational Therapy Association.

Discover your perfect "CarFit" at an AARP program from 10 a.m.-noon. The program is presented by John Vajda, AARP Driver Safety State CarFit Coordinator and William Gumbman, Rutherford Police Department Traffic Coordinator. 

CarFit is an interactive and educational program sponsored by AARP and offers older adults the opportunity to check and see how well they and their car work together to ensure safer driving. 

Participants will learn how to adjust their car for comfort and safety and leave with recommended car adjustments and adaptations. 

This program will take place in your car, parked in the municipal garage on the third floor. Call 201 460-1600 to pre-register.
