Felician University Organizes Annual Lecture On Social Justice

RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Felician Univeristy in Rutherford will host a lecture on the plight of women and children in developing countries on April 7.

Social Justice Sister Mary Beth Lloyd will speak about the work being done in the developing world with women and children as well as right here in New Jersey through John Corr Family Resources. Shehas created a number of videos as part of her work and she will incorporate a few clips from those videos into her presentation.

Lloyd has a doctorate from Columbia University in Nutrition and Public Health, and worked at Memorial Sloane Kettering Cancer Center in New York. In 1994 she was appointed Secretary to Mother General and Mission Office Director for the Institute in Rome, Italy. 

The event is free and open to the public. It will begin at 7 p.m.in the second floor lecture hall in Albin Obal Hall, located at 262 South Main St.
