The event, which is free and open to the public, will feature two guest speakers: Shawn McClain from the Miss Universe organization and Nancy Schuring, jewelry designer and entrepreneur.
McClain, vice president of Marketing and Development at the Miss Universe Organization, will speak about “The Business of Miss Universe.” He will discuss the pageant business, the global challenges it faces, and the future of the business model.
Schuring, will discuss “Gemstones and Entrepreneurship – Building of a Jewelry Business,” from start up to thriving business. She will also discuss her philanthropic efforts and the establishment of her charitable foundation.
A panel discussion will also be held on being your own boss.
