At the Middle School field, kids broken into age groups searched for candy-filled eggs. The event also featured, sack races, pictures with the Easter Bunny, a bake sale, and other games and prizes.

North Arlington Councilwoman Allison Sheedy and Councilman Rich Hughes, both liaisons to NAVES, as well as Councilman Mario Karcic were in attendance. Sheedy brought her grandson, and Karcic was there with his children.

"This is just one more example of the many ways North Arlington comes together to create these great events for our families," Karcic said.

Hughes thanked NAVES for its time and effort. "It's always inspiring to see volunteers stepping up and taking on an even larger role in community outreach," he said.

"Every event takes a lot of planning, coordination and work," Sheedy said. "I applaud them." She said she was moved to see so many younger volunteers taking time out of their day to make this event for the children every year.
