Rutherford Recognizes Former BOE Member With Tree Planting

RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Rutherford had an Arbor Day Ceremony, on Saturday, April 23, with a memorial tree planting in front of Union School.

The tree was planted in memory of Thom Casadonte, former board member of the Rutherford Board of Education.

"May it grow tall and strong, and always be a symbol of Thom Casadonte's purpose, giving spirit, leadership and community service to the borough of Rutherford," said Theresa Casadonte, his widow.
