EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- East Rutherford Police Captain Phillip Taormina read to a roomful this Monday at the East Rutherford Memorial Library.

This visit was part of the police department's monthly visit to the library, to read to kids. Often, Police Chief Larry Minda is the designated reader to the young ones. The reading sessions are on the fourth Monday of each month.

Taormina read "Officer Buckle and Gloria," by Peggy Rathmann, to a group of kids ranging from infant to 5 years old.
