RUTERFORD, N.J. -- Several members of the Bloomfield Mandolin Orchestra will perform Wednesday, July 20 at the Meadowlands Museum in Rutherford.
A short program will include, Funiculi Funicula , Torna a Surriento , ‘O Mari, songs often performed by the late tenor Luciano Pavarottie.
Admission for the evening’s performance is $5 for adults and $3 for seniors and children 16 years and younger. No charge for children under five.
The museum is currently running the exhibit, Parlor Music, which features a display of vintage instruments, and this newest acquisition, a Perkiomen Trunk once owned by Rutherford resident and traveling musician, Evelyn A. Hoxie.
The museum will also present August Days next month on Aug. 3, 10 and 17, each day from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. for children ages 7 to 10.
The July 20 mandolin concert will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the front gallery at the museum, 91 Crane Ave. (intersections of Routes 3 and 17), Rutherford, N.J.
