RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The Addison Shop on Park Avenue sold a million dollar lottery ticket on Friday, July 8, according to nj.com.

The second place prize in the July 8 Mega Millions drawing was $1 million but no winner has come forward yet, according to nj.com.

The $1 million New Jersey ticket is one of 10 sold across the country that matched five numbers but not the Mega Ball, according to megamillions.com.

Friday's $540 million drawing was the third-largest Mega Millions jackpot and the seventh-largest prize in U.S. lottery history, according to nj.com.

The jackpot was won by a single ticket holder, purchased at an Indiana gas station, according to nj.com.

Tuesday's Mega Millions is reset to $15 million and is played in 44 states, Washington D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
