“Many of the families we help have experienced financial hardship due to medical-related issues,” said Chuck Anania, president and founder of Roof4Roof. “Therefore, we are happy to support them in more ways than just roofing by hosting this blood drive.”

Earlier this month, volunteers with the company put a new roof on the home of a West Milford woman who was diagnosed with breast cancer and has had 28 surgeries. The company has helped more than 700 families with similar projects.

The blood drive, hosted by Roof4Roof and New Jersey Blood Services (NJBS) will take place on Tuesday, August 1, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Roof4Roof headquarters at 520 Route 17 South in Carlstadt. The New York Blood Center, NJBS’s parent company, recently declared a blood emergency and is asking the public to donate blood.

To register for an appointment to donate blood at the drive, CLICK HERE. Walk-ins are also welcome, and donors should bring ID and eat before donating. Eligibility guidelines can be found at www.nybloodcenter.org.
