Carlstadt Man Raises $30K For Friend Battling Stage Four Cancer

CARLSTADT, N.J. — More than $30,000 had been raised in just seven days as of Thursday evening on a GoFundMe launched by a Carlstadt man to help his friend battle stage four cancer.

John Cronin's fundraiser will aid Tom Hoey, who is beginning treatment this week and will be unable to continue his job as a paramedic at Fort Dix Prison.

"Any donation (and prayers) will be helpful, and very much deeply appreciated," Croni wrote on the GoFundMe page.

"Tommy is one of the most selfless, helpful individuals we have ever had the pleasure of working with."
