Glen Rock Couple Celebrates 19th Wedding Anniversary With Snow

GLEN ROCK, N.J. — Things weren't much different weather-wise 19 years ago for one Glen Rock couple celebrating its wedding anniversary in a very snowy way.

Jen and Dave Russo of Glen Rock have been together for 19 years March 14. They're celebrating the same way they did in 1998 — with snow. David's brother-in-law carved their names into the snow during the 1998 storm on their wedding day.

David and Jennifer Russo's wedding on March 14, 1998 was accompanied by snow — lots of it!

The parents, who now have two kids together, were planning on celebrating the special day with a date night but Stella had other plans in mind.

"Obviously that's not going to happen," David said.

And funny enough, "Stella" is the name of the couple's dog.

Dave and Jen met in college — her freshman year his junior year — at Northwestern University in Illinois. They were both at the same party, only Jen showed up with one of Dave's older fraternity brothers.

"I assumed she was a cute senior I had never met," he said. "I decided that I wanted to impress the cute senior with my [admittedly very good] impression of Kermit the Frog."

And it seems to have worked.
