Good People Still Exist: Maywood Landscapers Dug Me Out

MAYWOOD, N.J. — If it weren't for two Maywood landscapers, I would still be outside in freezing temperatures chipping away at the several feet of snow blocking in my car.

A Maywood landscaping company dug my car out, and refused to accept payment.

After about 15 minutes of digging away to no avail, I spotted a D Ferraioli plow truck making its way down my street in Hackensack.

The two workers could apparently see the defeat and hopelessness in my eyes and agreed to help dig me out.

They had me climb into my car through the passenger's seat after making sure the tail pipe had been cleared off, and asked me if my car was warm while they dug out my tires.

After about 10 minutes, they had me reverse the car so they could push all of the snow in front of me away with their truck.

Once I was out, I asked how I could repay them. They took a swig of water, smiled and told me not to worry before driving away, on to the next job.

Good people still exist.
