Joey Bulger was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in October.

He still has another six months or more of intense chemotherapy ahead of him to ensure he remains in remission, which will last through September, and his parents say it's hard to imagine fighting for that long.

"But," Lauren and Chris wrote on their blog, "We have no choice."

The Bulgers were chosen as the recipients of the  Renegade Pigs of Carlstadt's annual charity event.

"The last 90 days of our journey we have garnered our strength, faith, love, support, and hope from every last one of you," the Bulgers said on the blog. "As as we continue to move forward, please continue to stand with us."
