EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- A lawsuit was slapped against the Borough of East Rutherford and its zoning board for denying a variance, according to northjersey.com.

The Egyptian government filed a civil suit for being denied use of a building on Jersey Street for its United Nations Mission annex, according to northjersey.com.

The Egyptians purchased the building from the Franciscan Friars for $1.67 million and say this is a case of inverse condemnation, according to northjersey.com.
