Alexander Viecelli, 80, Formerly Of Rutherford

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Alexander “Alex" Viecelli, of Bushnell, Fla. and formerly of Rutherford, died on Thursday, Dec. 3. He was 80.

He was born in Jeannette, Pa., in 1935 to Moses and Mary (Onder) Viecelli.

Viecelli owned and operated his own amusement business for more han 50 years throughout New York and New Jersey.

He was predeceased by his wife, Joan and a daughter, Michele.

Viecelli is survived by five children, Maria and her husband Pete Gozdieski, Linda and her husband Joe Aleles, Tina and her husband Harold Osborne, Sandra and her husband Jim Merli, and Alex and his wife Debbie, three sisters, Marie, Nora and Camille, 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Calling hours are on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, at 19 Lincoln Ave. in Rutherford, with funeral services set for 9 a.m. on Tuesday morning. A funeral liturgy will follow at 10 a.m. at The Church of Saint Mary in Rutherford.

Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
