RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Antoinette A. (Carrier) LaPorta -- a Wantage resident, formerly of Rutherford -- died on Wednesday, March 16. She was 71.
LaPorta worked at Walmart in Newton and volunteered at the Wantage Animal Shelter.
She is survived by her husband, Philip LaPorta, and her siblings, Joseph Carrier and his wife Josephine, and Marion Cogan and her husband Todd. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Anna (Matteo) Carrier.
Visiting hours will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, March 18, at Kimak Funeral Home, 425 Broad St., in Carlstadt. The funeral will depart from the funeral home at 9 a.m. on Saturday for a 9:30 a.m. funeral mass at St. Mary's, in Rutherford. Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery, in Lodi.
