Arlene Joyce Pycior, 78, Former Carlstadt Resident

CARLSTADT, N.J. – Arlene Joyce (Pearce) Pycior, of Hightstown and formerly of Carlstadt, died Friday, April 8. She was 78.

She was a homemaker. She was a member and past officer of the American Gold Star Mothers, a member of the Carlstadt American Legion Post 69 Ladies Auxiliary, the Hasbrouck Heights V.F.W. Post 4591 Ladies Auxiliary and the American War Mothers. She was an avid bowler. She enjoyed traveling, collecting teddy bears and was a huge Elvis fan.

She was the wife of the late Joseph John. Pycior Sr.; mother of the late Joseph J. Pycior Jr. and Gregory J. Pycior and mother-in-law of Teresa J. Pycior; grandmother of Joseph John Pycior III and Robert Adam Pycior; and sister of Patricia A. Wilson and the late William Pearce. She also is survived by several nieces, nephews and many cousins.

Visitation will take place from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Kimak Funeral Home, 425 Broad St., Carlstadt. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Kimak Funeral Home. Interment will take place at St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack.
