RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Carmela "Millie" (nee Gentilello) Fratangelo, 103, died Friday April 29.
She is survived by her son, Joseph; four grandchildren, Karen Koppa, Mark D. Kovach, Samantha Cuadra, Courtney Anne Patas' six great-grandchildren; niece, Margaret Schlesinger; and nephew, Joseph "Brother" Ieslin.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Theresa Anne Kovach
After 25 years of service, she retired from Becton Dickinson. Upon her retirement, she volunteered for many years at St. Mary's Hospital in Passaic.
She was a prolific crocheter, donating caps and blankets for newborns, as well as veterans. She enjoyed many years as an active member of St. Joseph's Rosary Altar Society in East Rutherford.
The funeral will be departing from the Kimak Funeral Home, 425 Broad St., Carlstadt, at 9 a.m. Tuesday for a funeral Mass at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, East Rutherford at 9:30 a.m.. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Lyndhurst.
Visitation is from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
