Kenneth Warren Snapp, 50, Of Rutherford

RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Kenneth Warren Snapp, of Rutherford, died on Wednesday, Dec. 28. He was 50.

He was born in Huntington, to the late Warren Snapp and Christena Snapp. He graduated from Rutgers University, earning his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (1988) and Master of Science in City & Regional Planning (1991). He worked as an Urban Planner & Engineer for the Port Authority of NY/NJ and was a Leadership APTA inductee. He served on the Rutherford Planning Board, Rutherford Economic Development Committee, and the Williams Center for the Arts Board. An avid rower and cyclist, he was a member of the Carnegie Lake Rowing Assoc., Nereid Boat Club, and helped found the Passaic River Rowing Association. He loved Rutgers football; he also coached Rutherford F. C. Youth Soccer and Little League Baseball.

He is survived by his wife, Sara Sundell; his sons, Henry and Jacob and his siblings, Brian Snapp and Christine Bakos. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws, including Joel and Caroline Sundell.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday in the Rutherford Congregational Church, 251 Union Ave., Rutherford.
