EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Neftali G.Colon Jr., 55 of East Rutherford, died, July 14, 2016.
He was born in New York City to Neftali G. Colon Sr. and Laura Colon.
He was employed by the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City for 33 years as security supervisor.
He is survived by his parents, Neftali G.Colon Sr. and Laura (nee Soto) Colon.
He was the father of Nicholas Colon, Daniel Colon, Taylor Colon and Jordan Colon; grandfather of Peyton Scurti and Anthony Scurti; and brother of Joann Colon, Anthony Colon and Jennifer Colon. He also is survived by his former wives, Karen Colon and Kimberly Colon; and many nieces and nephews.
Most important to him was spending time with his family.
The family will receive friends from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Monday in the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford. The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home followed by 10:30 a.m. prayer service with Father Mike Kreder officiating. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery in Lyndhurst.
