Ruth Giannella, 89, Carlstadt Resident

CARLSTADT, N.J. -- Ruth A. (Pastor) Giannella of Carlstadt passed away on Nov. 8. She was 89. 

For five years, Giannella worked as a crossing guard in the borough of Carlstadt. She previously worked for Hoover Ball and Bearing Co. in Wayne for over 20 years. 

Giannella loved old time movies, the ocean and wine. 

She is predeceased by her husband  Arthur E. Giannella.

Giannella is survived by her children, Barbara Ann Kronyak and her husband Matthew, Edward A. Giannella, Donald A. Giannella and his companion, Helen Cohen; grandmother of Kim Kronyak-Edone and her fiancé Karl Rolff, Chris Kronyak, Michael Giannella; and great grandmother of Matthew Edone, Jessica Kronyak, Dylan Kronyak and Amanda Kronyak. 

Funeral services will be held at the Kimak Funeral Home, 425 Broad St., Carlstadt on Thursday at 11 a.m. Cremation will be private. 

Visitation will be Wednesday at the funeral home from 2 p.m. to 4p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
