CARLSTADT, N.J. -- Scott J. Sabia, 45, a lifelong resident of Carlstadt, passed away July 6, 2016.
Sabia was a graduate of Henry P. Becton Regional High School. For two years, he was a baker for Shop-Rite in Hasbrouck Heights.
He loved fishing and outdoor sports. He played baseball for the Carlstadt Little League and Becton Regional High School and was on the high school bowling team.
He was the husband of the late Michele R. (nee Miragliotta) Sabia; fther of Connor, Kyle and Sarah; son of John T. and Pamela H. (nee Shaw) Sabia; brother of Thomas J. Sabia and his wife Karen; uncle of Melissa Sabia, Michael Sabia, Sean Clarkson, Nicole Norling and Michael Norling; and grandson of the late John and Anna Sabia and Jessie and Joseph Shaw. He also is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
There will be a funeral departing at 9 a.m.Thursday from the Kimak Funeral Home, 425 Broad St., Carlstadt for a 9:30 a.m. funeral Mass in St. Joseph's R.C. Church in East Rutherford. Interment will be in Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa. Visitation wil be from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sabia children would be appreciated.
