Township police handled a batch of reports Sunday, Capt. John Bakelaar said:
- A Ginger Lane resident reported a 2017 Jaguar stolen from the driveway overnight;
- An Ashmont Road resident reported a 2012 Toyota stolen from the driveway overnight;
- A Hamburg resident said a laptop and cellphone were taken from his vehicle while it was parked outside a Navajo Trail Drive home;
- A Sterling Drive resident reported losing a car key from a vehicle parked outside an Olentangy Road residence that had been rifled;
- Two Scioto Drive residents reported break-ins: One had four cars entered but nothing apparently missing, while another had two entered and nothing apparently missing.
Township police also found a 2015 Jeep reported stolen out of Pompton Lakes that was parked on Juniper Place. Bandits involved in the other incidents may have used it to get to Franklin Lakes.
Bakelaar urged citizens to lock their vehicles and not leave any valuables inside -- particularly keys or key fobs.
