Anselmo Jimenes, 30, of Brooklyn, told a federal judge in Newark that he conspired in the robbery with three active New York Police Department officers, one former NYPD officer and others.

He also pleaded guilty to one count of transporting stolen goods in interstate commerce – stemming from a separate burglary he committed of a storage facility in North Brunswick.

Jimines is being held without bail pending a Jan. 24 scheduled sentencing.

Carlstadt police caught Jimenes fleeing the scene of the In-Style USA holdup the night of Feb. 9. Federal authorities took him into custody a month later.

Also charged were NYPD Officers Kelvin L. Jones, Brian Checo and Richard LeBlanca, and former NYPD Officer Orlando Garcia, along with several accomplices.

The officers, former cop and other accomplices are all awaiting sentencing after also pleading guilty in Newark.

Jimenes said today that he hired 16 unwitting day laborers to help load the boxes onto four rental trucks.

U.S. Attorney Paul Fishman credited special agents of the FBI, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli’s staff, the Carlstadt Police Department and the NYPD’s Internal Affairs Bureau for cracking the case. Handling the prosecution for the government are Assistant U.S. Attorneys Eric T. Kanefsky and Christopher J. Gramiccioni of the Special Prosecutions Division.
