CARLSDADT, N.J. — Carlstadt police joined fellow law enforcement agencies from around North Jersey in the No-Shave November movement to raise awareness of men's physical and mental health issues.
The department's goal is to raise $3,000, and its members are hoping residents will chip in to help meet or surpass that amount.
The department said it is taking part in the effort because there's a good chance someone you know or love will be affected by this disease at some point.
"No-Shave November's mission is to not only raise funds for cancer research and treatment," the fundraising page says, "but to educate the population about preventative measures."
