The 24-year-old victim told police the trio punched him and threatened him with a baseball bat before reaching into his pocket and fleeing with an undetermined amount of cash in the area of Gaston Avene and Frederick Street around 6 p.m. last Thursday, Capt. Darren Sucorowski told Daily Voice.

He didn’t sustain any serious injuries in the attack, Sucorowski said Thursday.

Detectives Marc Amos and David Coniglio cracked the case, arresting 18-year-old Christopher Rosa in Lodi and Jordan Smyer, also 18, in Garfield, the captain said.

They also arrested a 17-year-old in Garfield, he said.

Rosa and Smyer were charged with robbery and released pending court appearances.

A juvenile complaint was signed against the 17-year-old, charging him with robbery. He was released pending an appearance in the Family Division of Superior Court.
