Meeting in Washington Township to discuss sharing police, dispatch services

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: The Washington Township Council has set a special meeting to discuss whether to accept funds from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office to study sharing police services.

The 7:30 p.m. discussion Wednesday at Town Hall will also include sharing dispatch services, in addition to the question of merging and consolidating the township police department.

All residents and business owners in town are encouraged to attend.
