EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Chief Minda and Officer Alberta of the East Rutherford Police Department have spent time with fifth-graders of the Alfred S. Faust Intermediate School, teaching the Law Enforcement Against Drugs -- LEAD -- Program.

Over an eight-week period, the students learned about methods to handle some of the challenges of adolescence. Minda and Alberta taught about the dangers of alcohol and substance abuse.

"The lessons focused on empowering students to make positive decisions now and in their teenage years, to live a happy and healthy lifestyle," a news release noted.
