Report: These 3 Bergen County Districts Pay Teachers The Most

HACKENSACK, N.J. – The median salary for New Jersey teachers is on the rise, according to an NJ.com report listing the districts with the highest median salaries in each county.

Statewide for 2016-2017 the median teacher salary was $66,117, up from $64,550 the year before, states the report that siting data from the New Jersey Department of Education.

The Bergen and Passaic County districts with the highest median teacher salaries, according to the report, are:

BERGEN COUNTY

  • Northern Valley Regional School District: $105,650
  • Hackensack: $89,603
  • Pascack Valley Regional School District: $89,000

PASSAIC COUNTY

  • Passaic County Vocational: $95,303
  • Totowa Borough: $78,077
  • Passaic Valley Regional School District: $75,900
