RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Rutherford School teachers turned an opportunity given by the PTO into a learning experience about the needs of plants and some elements that may cause our bulbs not to sprout.
The PTO purchased bulbs which the students planted in October.
Students needed to measure the depth of the holes and distances between the bulbs. Some students giggled when they discovered a worm or learned to use a trowel for the first time.
