Frigid Monday In Store As Sunday Temps Plummet, Beware Black Ice

Warm temperatures and rain will continue in Bergen and Passaic counties on Sunday -- then comes the freeze.

Highs will climb to the lower 50s before a cold front blows in late in the afternoon, the National Weather Service said.

Temperatures will quickly plummet -- slickening roads.

Black ice will be a threat Sunday night as the thermometer hits the 20s. Snow showers are possible but not definite.

Temperatures overnight will be in the teens -- but the wind chill will make it feel like single digits.

It'll stick, too: Expect a frigid Monday morning with temperatures in the upper 20s and a wind chill between 5-10 degrees.
