'Sub To Remember' Opens In East Rutherford

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- A new sandwich shop with a creative flair and fresh mozzarella handmade daily is now open in East Rutherford.

A Sub to Remember has 17 varieties of subs, with unique specials created weekly. Sandwiches are available in half and whole portions, all served on Calandra's bread.

There is also a variety of panini and wraps, like the Sprouted Avo, which is a turkey avocado wrap with sprouts, and the Goat-ee, a wrap with grilled veggies and goat cheese.

Some of the varieties:

  • The Confused Irishmen is sub sandwich layered with hot corned beef and swiss cheese, topped with Russian dressing. 
  • For meat lovers, there is The Uno Struzzo, stacked with salami, ham, prosciutto di parma, soppressata, capicola and provolone cheese.
  • The Wreck also features lots of meat: roast beef, salami, turkey, ham and swiss.
  • For something a little different, there's Be Still My Heart, featuring their homemade fresh mozzarella, artichoke hearts, roasted peppers and pesto.

Yelp reviewers have rated it five stars and have said the food is made with quality and care.

The eatery is open 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday, and 11 a.m.- 4 p.m. Saturday.  It's closed on Sunday. For more information call (201) 933-0088.
