Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the event starting at 7:30 p.m., at St. Francis Church, 125 Union Street, Lodi. A $30 donation includes bingo sheets and a marker.

“We had originally hoped to raise $3,000 but we have already sold 250 tickets,” Milligan said. “We have exceeded that goal.”

This is the first year, Milligan is hosting the event in honor of her daughter Quinn, who is 5 and has Nephrotic Syndrome — a kidney disorder that causes the body to excrete too much protein in the urine.

One morning when Quinn was 15 months old, the Carlstedt couple, Jen and Jarrett, found her to have swollen eyelids. Jen called the pediatrician and was instructed to put a warm compress on her eyes. The next morning it was worse.

The doctor diagnosed Quinn with an ear infection and sent home. Within two days, her eye lids were almost swollen shut and her body showed signs of water retention to the point where her clothes didn't fit.

Quinn was sent to the emergency room.

"After what seemed like an eternity with never-ending tests, we met with a pediatric nephrologist... who informed us Quinn had Nephrotic Syndrome," Milligan said. "She was hospitalized for three days and spent her second Thanksgiving in Hackensack University Medical Center."

The family then got involved with NephCure, a 501 (c)(3) public charity.

"NephCure is the only organization that is solely committed to supporting research seeking the cause of nephrotic syndrome and FSGS, two debilitating kidney diseases," Milligan said. "Fundraising events such as these are so important because families like ours continue to hope for a cure."

Designer labels up for grab as prizes include Coach, Henry Bendel, LeSport Sac, Michael Kors and Vera Bradley. Louis Vuitton Neverfull is the grand prize.

Participants are encouraged to bring snacks and beverages of their choice.
