Owner Ed Lanni confirmed he is leasing from the new owners of 116 Park Ave. and although he is thinking of retiring in the near future, no plans are imminent.
The local shop for kitchen appliances has kept generations of families in washers, stoves and grills even with big box stores closing in.
Lanni has a reputation not only for matching prices, but for personable, family-run service and has been a neighborhood favorite for 50 years.
Word spread in a Facebook group that the business was sold after the building changed hands.
