Route 3 West Jammed After Head-On Crash On Hackensack River Bridge

UPDATE (9 a.m.) A single lane remained open on westbound Route 3 near the Meadowlands following a wrong-way crash Wednesday morning on the Hackensack River bridge in Secaucus.

No fatalities were immediately reported in the 7:15 a.m. crash, which Secaucus police said occurred when an elderly driver's car headed in the wrong direction hit another vehicle head on.

Both drivers were taken to Hackensack University Medical Center, they said.
