Felician University Hacker Blasts Racist E-mail

RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The housing director at Felician University is not the one who sent a racist e-mail from her account this summer, the university has found, according to NorthJersey.com.

A Felician University investigation reportedly determined a racist e-mail sent from a university official's account was the result of hacking.

The missive which reportedly disparages black students and was sent to students, staff, some alumni and faculty came from the e-mail account of Laura Pierotti, said NorthJersey.com.

But Pierotti did not originate it, NorthJersey.com said, citing university spokeswoman Susan Bernarducci.

She told NorthJersey.com outside investigators determined Pierotti was not involved in the e-mail, and her account was compromised, reported NorthJersey.com.
