EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — The New York Jets of East Rutherford's MetLife Stadium released its longest-tenured player Nick Mangold Saturday.
The team is releasing older, higher-salaried players, ESPN reports.
Mangold, formerly a center on the East Rutherford-based team, made the announcement on Twitter:
While this is a sad day to leave so many coaches, teammates and executives, I look forward to seeing what the future holds for me.
