EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The biggest football story of the weekend might be Victor Cruz' return to to the New York Giants, but Bergen and Passaic counties have neighbors to look out for.

Among the notables are Carolina Panther’s tight end Greg Olsen (Wayne Hills) who is Cam Newton’s favorite target.

Linebacker Brian Cushing (Bergen Catholic) and three-time second-team All-Pro selection will be playing for the Houston Texans.

The McCourty twins, who hail from Nanuet, N.Y., and played high school football at St. Joseph’s (Montvale) and at Rutgers together will also be on the fields. The pair is split in the pros, with Devin playing in New England and Jason playing in Tennessee.

Additionally, the Washington Redskins Junior Galette, who went to St. Joseph’s Montvale, is on the Redskins injured reserve list after rupturing his Achilles tendon during training camp, and will miss the entire season.
